On 10 December 1952, Mun Sen held a solo show featuring dozens of watercolour paintings of Malaya at 怡保僑众服務处 [Ipoh Overseas Chinese Service Office]. An article by Sin Chew Jit Poh describes the artworks as embodiments of local colours ("楊氏所繪之畫，全具地方色彩").
