Yong Mun Sen held an exhibition at Victoria Memorial Hall from 1-3 May 1948. 140 watercolour and 20 oil paintings were featured. The exhibition was opened by Mr G. G. Thompson, who was the Public Relations Officer. According to an article from Malaya Tribune, most of the visitors comprised of local artist students. The paintings shown depicted scenes of "Malayan life and industries".

From 4-7 June 1948, Mun Sen exhibited about 100 paintings (30 oil paintings and 70 watercolour paintings) at the Chinese Assembly Hall, Kuala Lumpur. It was reported that Mun Sen donated 20% from his sales, which amounted to $178.60.
