Mun Sen passed away on 29 September in his home on Penang Road. Funeral took place on 2 October. His eldest son was Yong Cheong Wah, a police inspector. While the second son, Yong Min Wah, was a financial clerk in the Ministry of Agriculture in Kuala Lumpur.
